Endowment Supports Debate in honor of my mother

Vickie Briscoe Seawolf Debate Endowment Established

I am honored that the University of Alaska Foundation has established an endowment to support the students of the Seawolf Debate Program for generations to come. 

Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away. Throughout my life she has been a devoted supporter of my journey in education and in academic, competitive debate. She also supported my students and continued to show up as a community volunteer to judge at high school competitions long after I moved away from home.

In recognition of her longstanding support, the endowment is established in her memory and will bear her name in perpetuity as the Vickie Briscoe Seawolf Debate Endowment.
